The extreme pleasure we take in talking about ourselves should make us afraid that we may scarcely be giving any to our listeners.” – François de La Rochefoucauld

Epigon1

Made six months classical piano lessons when young.. and really hated it!
When fourteen one my friend at school gave me some underground techno tapes.. It was 1993 and the music was so great.. Manikomio Warriors 2 and 3 by Dj Moka, Cocorico Compilation, early tapes of Digital Boy… It was so powerful, and different from the stuff in radio / tv
Then became great fan of gabber/hardcore. Living in Rimini, a city with lots of big discotheques, had the luck to meet the greatest dj in the golden age: Marc Acardipane, Digital Boy, Noize Suppressor, The Destroyer, Oliver Chesler, and the list goes on and on..
Around 1999 stopped listening only to gabber stuff, and I felt in love with other genres: drum and bass, 8 bit videogame music, italian hip hop, west side hip hop (expecially g funk), …

Always loved that underground feeling, listening to music that few other people know of and like.. And being a computer nerd, with the desire to produce music by my self..
I have tried many different programs to produce music.. At that time there was many trackers and shit programs like Techno Ejay. I have used for some years Fruity Loops and Reason. Then switched to coding only as a job, and for many years I’ve never touch anything. Then slowly started again with Ableton Live, tons of VST and some good midi controller (see here). Stuff that years ago I could only dream of. And when away from home I play for fun with Caustic3 on my phone.

Then changed everything and switched to all out of the box gears: the main device is an MPC Live, with a couple of midi controllers for some additional faders. Elektron Model:Samples and DrumBrute as drum machines, Uno Synth and TD3 for bassline, MicroFreak for pads, vocoder and effects. I am planning to stick with these devices, I feel I can make everything with them. So I try to not buy anything else.

Online you will find some of my creations (for links go to Release); I made them for fun. Do not expect to find here the hits you listen on the radio or dejavu music. The world is so big, I still hope a bunch of people will like my music.
